For folks new to Temu

How to find profitable products on Temu with no paid software

Most new folks pick what is hot, then lose cash on each sale. We check the math first, and it takes four steps. Watch how in this short clip.

Results vary. No income is guaranteed.

The steps

Four steps to pick what to sell.

Same four checks, one by one, each time you buy.

  1. Start with what folks want

Temu shows which things sell out fast and what folks search for. Use that as your first list.

  2. Check it on Walmart

Look up the same thing on Walmart. See the price, and see if folks buy it a lot, so you know if the need is real and what it would cost you.

  3. Find the gap

Search for it on Temu. Look for things that sell well but have few stars. Skip the ones that all folks sell now.

  4. Run the math

Take what it costs from what it sells for. Then take out tax, fees and what it costs to send it. If there is no room left, skip it.

Why the math counts

Did you know that a hot pick can still cost you cash?

On the day we checked, one hot sauce was searched for more than 1,700 times on Temu. Lots of need! But it cost $18 at Walmart and sold for $16 on Temu. You would lose cash on each sale.

Most new folks make this slip. This is why we do the math on each buy first.

From the clip. The gap is before sales tax, packaging, shipping and Temu fees, so treat it as the ceiling, not the profit. Prices change daily. These are examples only: whether you can sell a product depends on each platform’s current rules and on the brand’s rights, so check before you list anything.
